Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
New Mexico Special Education License required
NM Level III licensure preferred
Experience working with students, families, and staff to develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals
Ability to develop a variety of IEP to address: Child Find, Part C to B transitions, elementary to middle school, and high school with post high school transition
Clear understanding of IDEA regulations, their application, and ability to relate information and program placement to stakeholders
Ability to conduct IEP meetings in a professional, collaborative, positive, and timely manner
Be able and willing to resolve problems that arise
Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills
Effective organization skills with acute attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality in restricting access to student records and sensitive information
Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements noted on job description
