• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university
• 7-12 Special Education Secondary License 
• Ability to perform essential job functions and job task requirements noted on job description.

Overview:

 

We are seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Special Education Teacher to join our team.  The successful candidate will provide intensive support to students with severe disabilities in a self-contained classroom setting.  This role involves managing educational assistants, collaborating with various stakeholders including physical therapists, speech and language therapists, administration, and IEP facilitators.  The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for developing and implementing individual education plans (IEPs) focusing on life skills, providing accommodations, fostering community interaction, planning real-life excursions, integrating student into the high school community, facilitating students' particiaption in their goal-setting process, and may also need to implement toileting, feeding, eating, wheelchair use, and health plans for students with physical disabilities.
